About The Position

Our client is a pioneering AI infrastructure company, building the hardware and cloud compute platform that powers the next generation of artificial intelligence. As both a manufacturer of advanced AI chips and an operator of cloud compute infrastructure, the company sits at a unique intersection — designing the systems that power data centers while also delivering large-scale compute infrastructure to leading AI labs and enterprises. As the company continues to scale, it seeks a deal-oriented Managing Counsel – Commercial & Infrastructure to join its legal team. This attorney will lead and negotiate complex commercial transactions that support the company’s infrastructure, revenue, and supply chain initiatives, serving as a key legal partner to the business on critical compute infrastructure relationships. This is a high-impact role within a small, collaborative legal team working closely with technical and business stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience, including direct experience working with or negotiating against data center providers and hyperscalers on compute or infrastructure transactions.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading sophisticated, high-complexity commercial transactions and managing cross-functional deal processes.
  • Familiarity with compute and infrastructure transactions, including the ability to negotiate technical and commercial terms related to hardware specifications, service level agreements, data center operations, and power and utilities requirements.
  • Strong foundation in technology transactions, including hardware and infrastructure agreements, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn adjacent practice areas and contribute across a broad range of commercial matters.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • J.D. and active bar admission required.

Nice To Haves

  • A mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, security, finance, and product teams to manage risk and translate complex technical concepts into clear legal frameworks that enable efficient decision-making.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives by advising on new product offerings and evolving business models while ensuring legal frameworks scale with the business.
