About The Position

The Managing Consultant, Corporate Sustainability at ERM is a senior-level position focused on leading client projects and delivering high-quality work in the field of corporate sustainability and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) strategy. This role involves managing a variety of strategic and operational projects, including materiality assessments, sustainability reporting, and ESG ratings responses, while collaborating with colleagues across different practices to drive impactful sustainability initiatives for clients.

Requirements

• Broad experience and subject matter expertise in corporate sustainability/ESG strategy, reporting, and disclosure.
• Proven record of helping clients design sustainability/ESG strategies and deliver sustainability/ESG reporting.
• Strong project management skills and oversight through the project lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in climate risk assessments and GHG inventories.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and investor surveys.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESG strategy and disclosure projects for clients.
• Support the development and delivery of projects related to Sustainability Advisory.
• Ensure projects are completed within quality, time, and budget constraints.
• Utilize proven methodologies for assessing materiality and driving robust reporting (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
• Respond to investor surveys (e.g., CDP, DJSI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS) using a strategic framework.
• Manage multiple simultaneous client engagements of varying size, scope, and complexity.
• Build strong and trusted relationships with clients and business partners.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent writing and presentation skills, and mastery of PowerPoint.
• Oversee project management through the project lifecycle, including scoping, budget, and delivery.
