About The Position

The Managing Consultant, Services Business Development - Restaurants at Mastercard is responsible for driving growth and demand for Mastercard's unique solutions within the restaurant sector. This role involves consultative sales management, building strong client relationships, and leading business development initiatives to meet and exceed targets. The consultant will work closely with internal and external clients to identify their needs, manage proposals, and deliver compelling presentations, all while fostering professional growth within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Systems Engineering or related field; MBA preferred
  • Strong commercial, business development-oriented, or sales experience with a proven track record
  • Experience selling to and managing commercial relationships within Restaurants
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing projects and teams
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Technical fluency, comfortably navigating technology solutions

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with both internal and external clients, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement
  • Identify and capture clients' underlying business needs, going beyond their explicit requests
  • Lead both formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding to face-to-face presentations
  • Leverage industry relationships and experience to discover new business development opportunities
  • Manage a pipeline of proposals, guiding them from the initial lead stages to final signature
  • Consistently meet and exceed targets, driving the success of our business
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine project scope
  • Employ innovative approaches to identify new opportunities and drive business growth
  • Coach and provide valuable feedback to team members
  • Formulate, articulate, and prioritize project activities
  • Support the project team in problem-solving efforts and structuring the project work plan
  • Create and deliver compelling and concise presentations
  • Oversee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of analyses conducted within the project
  • Develop well-founded conclusions and recommendations based on thorough analysis
  • Proactively seek new knowledge and skills, contributing to the development of intellectual capital
