Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in civil design, water resources, and/or environmental engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one in Montana within 1 year.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D® and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce high-quality technical reports.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and apply critical thinking to complex challenges.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in site remediation, site restoration, drainage design, and stormwater management.
  • Familiarity with environmental data interpretation (air, soil, groundwater, surface water).
  • Proposal development and business development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate client and project teams; develop design packages, technical specifications, and reports.
  • Lead environmental investigations and studies, including planning, implementation, and reporting.
  • Interpret engineering and environmental data to achieve project objectives.
  • Plan and oversee field activities such as sampling, drilling, well installation, and remedial construction.
  • Mentor junior staff and leverage technical experts to deliver exceptional client value.
  • Prepare proposals and contribute to business development efforts to grow ERM’s market presence.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
