About The Position

BRG Healthcare Analytics professionals bring extensive industry experience to deliver data-driven, independent, and innovative approaches to complex clinical, regulatory, legal, and business challenges. Our core strength is the ability to harness and analyze large amounts of electronic healthcare data and turn it into meaningful and insightful information. We serve a range of healthcare clients including life sciences companies, payors, providers, and the legal and financial firms that work with the industry. The Managing Consultant role is a mid-to-senior level consulting staff position. This position requires highly motivated problem solvers with a strong track record in real-world evidence generation and scientific publications, advanced methodological and analytical skills, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. The work involves both executing and overseeing qualitative and quantitative engagement workstreams. Responsibilities include managing junior staff; designing and conducting observational studies; performing statistical analysis—preferably with experience in advanced causal inference methods; ensuring quality control; developing and presenting scientific publications and client deliverables; managing existing client relationships; conducting industry research; and supporting business expansion. Job title and compensation to be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Science, or other data science related disciplines is required; PhD in Epidemiology is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in consulting, the pharmaceutical industry, or federal government roles focused on epidemiology or HEOR
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience in statistical programming, data analysis, and applying rigorous methods to real-world research
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to independently execute complex data analytics in at least one programming language (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Python etc.), and to interpret results. An interest in further developing technical skills and mentoring others is required.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams and external experts to support regulatory submissions and prepare high‑quality presentations, conference abstracts, and peer‑reviewed publications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences and contribute effectively in a team environment, including supervising junior colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and high‑quality work
  • Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement rigorous research methodologies to support real-world evidence generation, including epidemiological and pharmacoepidemiological research, and health economics & outcomes research (HEOR)
  • Analyze diverse healthcare data sources, including electronic health records, claims data, clinical trial data, and registries, using statistical tools such as R, SAS, Stata, and others
  • Design and generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to technical study reports.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate results and work product as appropriate.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects, including prioritizing assignments and responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Delegate assignments to staff, instruct and monitor progress, and review work product for completeness and accuracy
  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions
  • Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives and office functions such as staff training and recruiting
