As a Managing Consultant, Health and Safety , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping ERM’s Health & Safety service line, guiding clients through risk management, regulatory compliance, and innovative safety solutions that set industry benchmarks.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in safety and risk management (10+ years preferred), with expertise in leadership/culture and sustainable H&S compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of process safety, industrial hygiene, and regulatory compliance auditing (General Industry).
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to influence stakeholders and articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to ambiguity, and think creatively under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and international); valid passport required.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/MS degree in a relevant field (MPH, Science disciplines).
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, PE, or similar.
  • Experience developing corporate H&S strategies and programs for complex technical/regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance and effective risk control.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.
  • Interpret industrial hygiene data against OSHA PEL and ACGIH TLVs; recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop job hazard and safety assessments from an occupational health perspective.
  • Innovate and deliver behavior-based safety programs, safety culture initiatives, and leadership strategies.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and prepare winning proposals.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule while exceeding client expectations.
  • Mentor and lead technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
