About The Position

McKesson's Law Department is seeking an experienced healthcare technology and transactional lawyer to support our Ontada oncology technology and insights business, which focuses on transforming cancer care. Ontada combines a leading community oncology network with our market-leading EHR solution, iKnowMed, as well as many point-of-care solutions, and delivers actionable insights from real-world data to enhance drug development and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor Degree and a member of a recognized jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of corporate and healthcare law experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Superior expertise in healthcare technology commercial contract drafting, negotiation, regulatory adherence and risk mitigation.
  • Possess excellent legal judgment and business acumen for expeditious problem identification and the ability to be both pragmatic/business-oriented and strategic.
  • Experience in data governance and management.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work closely with, facilitate interactions within, and influence large cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, FDA).
  • Excel when working independently and collaboratively, have a record of developing strong working relationships with a diverse client base.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to provide sound, clear legal advice to all levels within the company.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that align with McKesson's strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of Ontada, aligning legal strategies with McKesson's broader corporate objectives and driving innovation within the legal department.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor on technology product development, privacy, data management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
  • Engage with internal legal and business stakeholders across the Oncology Ecosystem, building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners and regulatory bodies.
