Manage projects related to the performance of annual actuarial work for DB and DB/DC combo plans, which includes: Census data gathering, reconciliation, quality control, and importation onto valuation software Examination and verification of retirement trust financial statements, compute actuarial value of assets for valuation Running actuarial valuations and summarizing results for review Filing IRS Forms and PBGC filings Preparing valuation funding reports Preparing actuarial studies and benefit statements Coverage and non-discrimination testing Lead client meetings to identify client's needs, clarify expectations, help set retirement strategic directions and goals, and deliver results and consulting advice Track and meet all compliance standards Assist with special actuarial projects Review client invoices for completeness and accuracy Understand and assist in the interpretation of plan documents Provide technical knowledge of pension plans and calculation procedures to Benefits Administration Team for various clients Apply understanding of fundamental principles of pension plans, actuarial concepts, pension legislation, and accounting requirements for pension plans Pursue actuarial or ASPPA examinations Review peer technical work flow Additional responsibilities as assigned
