About The Position

Managers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Supervise and lead a team, including data scientists, to create next generation analytics products. Provide technical thought leadership, architectural guidance, and strong project management skills. Responsible for team revenue planning, budgeting, capacity planning, resource allocation, project management, work measurement, management reporting, and M&A support. Independently execute full range of personnel-related functions, including talent acquisition and pipeline management, training, development, goal setting, and performance management. Engage with stakeholders worldwide to ensure resource coverage and quality of deliverables and help achieve business unit goals. Lead analytic engagements. Develop project proposals, presentations, and promotional collateral. Technical Environment: Descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, segmentation, linear and logistic regression, Machine learning, Mathematical programming, Clustering, optimization, survival analysis, principal component analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, scenario and sensitivity analysis; R, Unix/Linux, machine learning (neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, genetic algorithms, logistic regression, clustering, variable selection); Deep learning, Cloud technologies, Generative AI; C, C/C++, Python, Perl, Java, SQL, Unix shell programming.

Requirements

  • PhD or ABD in Operations Research or Mathematics or Statistics or Data Science or other Quantitative field plus 4 years of experience teaching or as a Research Assistant or Data Scientist or Developer required.
  • Experience mentoring & hiring junior data scientists
  • Performing analytic work in Financial Services or related industry
  • Delivering comprehensive models and custom product solutions from initial requirements
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing projects
  • Demonstrated contributions to pre-sales efforts on the technical side
  • Developing customized product models/prototypes based on new customers’ specifications
  • With machine learning (neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, genetic algorithms, linear & logistic regression, clustering, variable selection)
  • Mathematical programming, Clustering and optimization
  • Conduct predictive and prescriptive modeling and descriptive analytics on large population datasets, such as: Segmentation, Survival analysis, Principal component analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, Scenario & sensitivity analysis
  • Deep learning, Cloud technologies, Generative AI
  • C/C++, Python, Perl, Java, Unix/Linux, R, SQL, Unix shell programming, large datasets & real world data, linear models, graph algorithms, pattern recognition
