About The Position

John Heaphy's Spring and Main in downtown lima is seeking candidates to consider for joining our management team. The Spring and Main complex includes the Casa Lu al Italian, Corner Pins Duck pin bowling, Old City Prime American Steakhouse and soon Lima's new Q Smokin BBQ and Fixins. We are a locally owned Restaurant company with an over 40-year track record of fair quality employment while offering very competitive pay, Medical Insurance, PTO, 401k with match and local family environment. The Spring and Main development is an exciting part of the changing vibrant downtown Lima arts and dining scene, and we would love to speak with qualifying candidates to join us in continuing to improve and grow.

Requirements

  • 2 - year minimum full service management experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Full service Dining room knowledge
  • Light kitchen foodservice experience
  • Bar service and mixology experience is helpful
  • Open availability including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Hold the team accountable for exceptional, efficient service every shift.
  • Ensure carryout accuracy, uphold standards for atmosphere and professionalism, and communicate food quality issues or guest feedback to the management team.
  • Create a welcoming and positive workplace by building strong relationships with staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, G.R.A.C.E. training, performance feedback, leadership development, and timely evaluations.
  • Manage staff conflicts, call-offs, progressive discipline, and terminations when necessary.
  • Build fair and effective weekly schedules that align with labor budgets and business flow while maintaining proper staffing levels
  • Uphold cleanliness through daily and weekly cleaning systems and task accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with server tip credit and dual jobs regulations, as well as standards for attendance, uniforms, and overall environment.
  • Communicate proactively with management and maintenance teams to address operational priorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date menus, promotional materials, and restaurant signage throughout the facility.
