About The Position

Media Partnerships is responsible for the sales and execution of all league media assets on league channels and within overall league sponsorships. This role will support and manage strategy, development, ideation, pricing, planning, and execution of media sales and media innovation for advertisers across the marketplace as well as league brand partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, marketing, communications, sports administration or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience within media entertainment and sports sales media/sponsorship industry
  • Expert knowledge of brand marketing & media tactics, terminology and metrics
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects; attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact positively and work effectively with internal and external constituents
  • Ability to problem solve quickly, think creatively, and conceptualize ideas for partners
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with brand partners
  • Strong Leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent digital literacy (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Executive presence; strong project management, organizational and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to NBA media advertising business, with ability to pitch, plan, and execute across multiple media platforms
  • Work with league brand partners, providing white glove service to help them achieve their media goals across the NBA’s full suite of media opportunities, including being Media lead on multiple accounts
  • Become expert in understanding of business goals for advertisers and partner accounts across Marketing, Licensing, and Fantasy & Gaming brand partners
  • Manage sales pipeline and contribute to revenue forecasting
  • Play integral role in media strategy within cross-property partner renewals
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at brands and agencies
  • Collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure partner needs are consistently met
  • Demonstrate expertise amongst media industry solutions and understanding of brand goals
  • Proactively share brand wins and application of media trends across internal and external contacts
