Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or Associates Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years experience as an ADS Yard Loader.
• Supervisory experience.
• Professionalism and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with BOM products.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Operating system functions including inventory & order entry procedures.
• Communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of all ADS products and familiarity with miscellaneous & resale products.
• Freight management and inventory management skills.
• Receiving procedures and mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of local shipping regulations.
• Forklift & OTR vehicle driving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work activities of all Yard personnel involved in the shipping, receiving and handling of product.
• Provide leadership and direction in loading and unloading techniques, receiving procedures, yard organization, inventory handling and control, yard vehicle maintenance and the promotion of a safe working environment.
• Manage hiring, employee development, terminations and disciplinary actions.
• Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment.
• Facilitate departmental communication and meetings.
• Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Plant Manager.
• Conduct cycle-counts.
• Practice proper forklift and yard vehicle operation and preventive maintenance.
• Manage product rotation and maintain yard housekeeping, organization and layout.
• Ensure maximized payloads and maintain and build job skills through company training programs.
• Ensure departmental policy compliance and communicate with Dispatcher regarding relative issues.
• Manage departmental training and organization of daily loading sequence.
• Administer department personnel and ensure yard vehicle maintenance schedule compliance.
• Maximize departmental labor efficiencies and minimize loading errors.
• Coordinate DOT stock lots and minimize departmental overtime.
• Conduct finished goods quality inspections and manage product conversions.
• Confirm customer orders (ASN) and manage yard organization, layout and map.
• Manage L/MH certification programs and CPU's and RMA's.
• Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES.
• Promote a positive and transparent work environment.
• Ensure proper management of operating supply purchases via the internal PO system or company credit card.
