About The Position

The Manager, Workforce Optimization is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic workforce management processes, optimizing WFM technology, and enabling data-driven staffing decisions across the Flight Center. This role partners with Flight Center leadership, HR, Training, and IT to design scalable solutions that improve forecasting, scheduling, intraday management, and overall workforce efficiency. The Manager, Workforce Optimization's focus is on advancing WFM capabilities, embedding best practices, and leading a team of WFM analysts in order to drive continuous process improvement to support operational excellence and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Organizational Development or Business Administration
  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Strong technical expertise in workforce management systems and tools (e.g., NICE, Kronos, Verint, Genesys, or similar), including configuration, reporting, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading system implementations, upgrades, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of automation, predictive analytics, and data integration techniques to enhance workforce planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize WFM processes, including forecasting, scheduling, intraday management, adherence, and capacity planning, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • In partnership with IT and Leadership will evaluate and enhance WFM tools and systems driving automation, analytics adoption, and process integration.
  • Analyze historical, real-time, and predictive workforce data to identify trends, optimize capacity, and improve staffing accuracy across all channels.
  • Partner with Leadership, HR, Training, and IT to embed workforce management best practices, align staffing strategies with business objectives, and drive adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Develop program roadmaps, success metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor staffing performance, track outcomes, and communicate insights to leadership.
  • Research and integrate industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advanced analytics to enhance workforce planning efficiency, quality, and employee engagement.
  • Mentor and guide WFM analysts and specialists, fostering a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and strategic thinking.
