About The Position

The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), located in Washington, DC, is the leading voice fighting to ensure that Americans have access to over-the-counter (OTC) medications, dietary supplements, and consumer medical devices. They are seeking a Manager of Website & Database to oversee the daily operations of the organization’s websites and association management software. CHPA offers a 37.5 hour work week, competitive compensation and benefits, and opportunities to grow and develop professionally. This position is hybrid, requiring three days in the office per week. Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Director of Information Technology, the Manager of Website & Database is responsible for the day-to-day operations of CHPA’s websites (chpa.org and my.chpa.org) and association management software (Microsoft Dynamics 365), among others. The Manager maintains a customer-focused and solution-oriented frame of mind and collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders, e.g., staff, members, public, etc., to understand their website and database needs and to provide smart technical solutions. With a rigorous method of quality control, this position ensures accuracy in the association’s website and database and oversees content management, design, functionality, security, upgrades, governance, and integrations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology or related field
  • Minimum of three years of relevant working experience; or five years of relevant experience en lieu of bachelor's degree
  • Experience using content management systems, including Drupal
  • Strong database proficiency
  • Experience with page layout, graphics design, CSS, mobile/responsive design, SEO, and Google Analytics reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM or association management systems, with knowledge of data structures, tables, and relationships strongly preferred
  • Experience leading comprehensive website redesigns including the implementation of a new CMS, content migration, structured content modeling, and integrations
  • Experience with content management, including content audits
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and/or Canva
  • Project Management certification (i.e. PMP, ScrumMaster, etc.)
  • Experience in website administration using Webflow

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the CHPA website including integration with Microsoft CRM, content updates, enhancements, security, hosting, and analytics; maintain and update the website using Drupal CMS.
  • Collaborate with staff to query, enhance, design, add new content, and update existing content.
  • Serve as the liaison between website contractors and the association to develop web-based solutions, including troubleshooting technical challenges, reviewing website-related contracts, etc.
  • Assign permissions and train CHPA staff on how to conduct content updates.
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders, e.g., staff, members, the public, etc., with website needs and requests.
  • Monitor web traffic; collect and analyze website usage data; and make recommendations for improvement to senior management, as needed.
  • Assist in managing the internal CHPA SharePoint website, including design and content updates, in collaboration with the Senior Director of IT.
  • Act as the administrator for the association’s management system (Microsoft Dynamics 365), including developing queries, workflows, enhancements, and reports.
  • Implement data cleaning techniques in the CRM and oversee consistency and reliability of reporting functions.
  • Work with Protech (CRM contractor) and outside contractors on system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct internal training on CRM use, technical requests, and best practices.
  • Support the Senior Director of IT with providing users with technical network support.
  • Administer the staff AI Working Group in conjunction with the Senior Director of IT.
  • Provide general IT help desk support to staff, when needed.
  • Assist HR with onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
