About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Vulnerability Management Data Engineering to build and lead a team focused on the design, development, and operation of enterprise-scale data solutions that enable effective vulnerability management. This leader will oversee a team of engineers responsible for integrating data from diverse security and IT sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability. The Manager will partner closely with security leadership, platform owners, and risk stakeholders to deliver the data pipelines and analytics needed to identify, prioritize, and report on vulnerabilities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is both a technical and people leader - comfortable guiding engineers in their craft while establishing the operational practices that keep data platforms resilient and reliable. This hybrid role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) can be based in Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, or Malvern, PA (HQ).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or security engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise with modern data engineering practices (ETL/ELT, data pipelines, APIs, automation).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management or security data domains.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide engineers and collaborate with stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud-native data platforms and tools.
  • Knowledge of common security and vulnerability management tools (e.g., scanning platforms, posture management systems).
  • Understanding of quantitative risk or posture reporting frameworks.
  • Strong track record of building high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of data engineers supporting enterprise vulnerability management.
  • Establish clear objectives, success metrics, and career development opportunities for team members.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and integrate security data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and timeliness for reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Partner with platform owners and security teams to ensure proper integration of vulnerability and posture data.
  • Guide the team in adopting best practices for data engineering, automation, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with vulnerability management, application security, and risk functions to ensure data supports decision-making at all levels.
  • Translate program requirements into scalable data engineering solutions.
  • Provide regular updates on team progress, data quality, and program enablement.
