About The Position

The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for supporting the creation of a brand-right, elevated consumer journey at our North America DTC stores. This individual is a key collaborator in building dynamic seasonal strategies and is responsible for developing efficient team processes to manage deliverable timelines. The ideal candidate will be skilled in balancing attention to detail with high-level VM perspective for effective near- and long-term strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Visual Merchandising, Store Environment, or related marketing or design field
  • Advanced software proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in executing visual merchandising initiatives, including window displays, mannequin styling, and campaign installations within the retail store environment
  • Understanding of holistic retail business concepts in buying, marketing and consumer experience
  • Experience building out documents and templates as frame for strategic work and project execution
  • Combined field and corporate retail experience a plus
  • Regular travel expected for market visits, new store openings, and refits
  • Position located in Denver, Colorado
  • Passion for improving processes and outputs for the team with an eagerness to learn
  • Creative abilities balanced with an operational mindset
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment and process feedback in a positive and solution-oriented way
  • Strong communication skills across multiple levels within the organization. Ability to articulate and direct in a concise written manner
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles including balance, fixturing, color flow, and adjacencies
  • Ability to continually evolve visual merchandising tactics to meet both commercial demands and the need for a fresh and dynamic consumer shopping experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, embracing flexibility and persistence as key operational qualities.
  • Ability to self-start and fill in the gaps is a must

Responsibilities

  • Build achievable workflows to deliver monthly and seasonal direction on time
  • Manage all aspects of store assortments, from initial buying plans to in-season delivery, including tracking of dropped styles and late deliveries to provide strategic pivots where necessary
  • Lead meeting calendar for internal and cross-functional teams
  • Provide operational support for new stores openings and renovations
  • Support both Full Price and Outlet workstreams to affect an aligned consumer journey
  • Integrate knowledge of Visual Merchandising best practices to elevate The North Face stores to a best-in-class consumer experience
  • Understand and integrate omnichannel marketing strategy to align with in-store experience – partner with Brand Creative, Brand Management, and Sports Marketing to maintain a singular POV for styling and VM strategies
  • Assist with Retail Lab setups to inform future season direction and innovate compelling store experiences
  • Contribute to the evolution of store training and direction to increase clarity and compliance
  • Work with strategic direction to build, format and maintain documents for special or ongoing projects by creating and updating overview decks including all relevant info, data and developments as needed
  • Act as a key point of contact and gatekeeper for cross-functional partners
