About The Position
In 2015, Amazon announced the launch of Amazon Business, a new marketplace on Amazon.com that combines the selection, convenience and value customers have come to know and love from Amazon, with new features and unique benefits tailored to businesses. The Business Industrial and Scientific Supplies (BISS) team is seeking a highly motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for people leadership. The Manager, Vendor Manager (MVM) will lead a high performing team and will be responsible for driving both the top and bottom-line metrics for multiple strategic categories. To deliver results, this person will own strategic vendor relationships, expand product selection, negotiate vendor terms, partner with marketing and advertising to drive traffic, and work with AB, operations and Instock to guarantee product availability. Ultimately, we expect the Manager, Vendor Management (MVM) to be a passionate customer advocate within Amazon and have a long-term, cross-functional mindset and a deep understanding of the P&L.
