About The Position
The position involves leading the packaging and integration of vehicle systems, evaluating concepts with respect to vehicle targets such as weight, cost, attributes, and platform modularity. The role requires designing vehicle architecture while considering market needs, engineering limitations, and modularity within the platform. The candidate will interact with various Engineering Centers of Excellence (COEs) to collect engineering and design inputs, preparing an overall plan for technology and concept projects. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with product planning and customers to create and design vehicle-level architecture according to customer needs, both expressed and unexpressed, and conceptualizing products before detailed design. The aim is to achieve modularity and standardization while addressing diverse requirements. Responsibilities also include benchmarking, target setting, and concluding Design Verification Plans (DVP), as well as managing quality, Design Model Updates (DMU), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) release and control. Awareness of CNG systems and their packaging in vehicles is also essential.
