About The Position

GPS Trackit Holdings, LLC seeks Managers, Validation Engineering in Kent, WA. Design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing code changes to telematics control units. Promote effective utilization by prioritizing work for QA team and supporting product delivery team without missing key milestones. Work with engineers, developers, and product managers to define relevant engineering requirements. Define test plans that fully validate all code changes and can be executed in a reasonable timeframe. Test plan execution should discover all unexpected device behavior. Participate and lead discussions with leadership team, informing stakeholders of progress, issues, and any delays. Create bug tickets with required documentation, following the agile process. Support automating the firmware validation process through python programming. Review test reports from suppliers and help evaluate and validate new hardware and products. Research and create test cases for new features, bug fixes and firmware updates. Test cases shall be very specific and efficient, putting engineers in the best position to discover issues. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience.
  • Must have 5 years of experience performing test case development and execution using Jira bug tracking software, conducting review and analysis of defect lifecycle, troubleshooting software issues and defect logging, and presenting results.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: • Adjusting validation schedules and hit deadlines in response to firmware changes within an embedded system; • Leading engineers in embedded systems testing to meet deliverables; • Reviewing and writing code in Python and C# (.NET); • Working with cross-functional teams in the development of telematics control units; and • Using Google IoT, including BigQuery, Virtual Machines, Scheduled queries and Data studio.
  • Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: • Using vehicle databus protocols (including CAN, J1939, J1587, J1850 and ISO-15765-4) and tools (including Vector Canoe, Nexiq and RP1210); and • Working with hardware and software running Linux operating system.
  • Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
