  • Create data analysis on close partnership with the policy managers to drive positive impact to business metrics.
  • Evaluate in-house and third-party data analytics solutions, including the development and interpretation of control plans.
  • Identify data analysis gaps, implement new solutions, and optimize existing solutions.
  • Envision and develop analyses based on independent eye for business that drives new insights, confirms or changes hypotheses or supports operational execution.
  • Develop analysis and reporting based on requests from business policy managers or systems managers as needed.
  • Develop reporting to support critical issues from litigation, regulatory or other legal teams.
  • Assess the effectiveness of policy controls.
  • Audit data quality to identify gaps and work with system teams to resolve.
  • Query data and build reporting for business metrics that measure policy effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify root cause, solution, and work through resolution.
  • Implement large-scale data mining and machine learning algorithms and data model pipelines in a software production environment.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the correlation between target performance and platform features.
  • Create platform performance data models.
  • Develop efficient algorithms for platform performance models and improve the algorithms by using state-of-the-art data analytics research work.
  • Work on expanding eBay platform capabilities by building machine learning models with continuous feedback loops.
  • Develop innovative data analytics and technical solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to platform development goals and principles.
  • Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Dimensional Modeling: Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • Store, process, and analyze semi-structured data.
  • Slowly Changing Dimension (Type 1, 2 and 3).
  • For BI tool, designing parameterized reports and report Models, creating drill up/down, drill through reports, sub report, charts reports and crosstab reports.
  • Creating complex stored procedures, triggers, cursors, tables, user defined functions, relational database models, data dictionaries, and views and other SQL joins and statements for applications.
  • Python pandas.
  • Python scikit-learn.
  • Python NumPy.
  • Building data pipelines to bring in the data from different data sources into the Data Lake using Python.
