About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing the analysis and administration of Tyson’s lease financing activities, supporting capital markets initiatives, and assisting with various other treasury-related analytical projects. Key responsibilities include ensuring comprehensive lease-versus-buy policies and procedures are in place, communicated, and monitored for enterprise-wide compliance; managing competitive lease bid processes; and maintaining a strong pool of potential lessors to support Tyson’s growth strategies. Additional duties include developing and managing corporate leasing team members and leasing administration tools, coordinating quarterly and year-end leasing-related financial reporting, and supporting fixed income and rating agency activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience preferred, including at least 5 years in a Treasury and/or finance-related role.
  • Standard computer proficiency required.
  • Advanced Excel skills- including financial functions used in lease-versus-buy analysis, IRR, and MIRR- are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong negotiation and relationship management abilities, are essential.
  • Advanced understanding of lease accounting rules
  • working knowledge of real estate contracts
  • familiarity with equipment specifications and valuations for commonly leased assets.
  • This position has direct reports.
  • 1–5 domestic trips per year.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or a treasury/finance-related advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with capital markets transactions, contract negotiations, and/or real estate is a plus.
  • Background in credit, lending, accounting, or transportation is preferred.
  • Experience structuring and evaluating complex lease arrangements such as synthetic leases, aircraft leases, and sale‑leaseback transactions.
