About The Position

The Manager, Treasury is a new role to Ventas within our Treasury Operations team. The position offers a dynamic opportunity through direct involvement with the Treasury Operations team to provide critical support to our rapidly growing Senior Housing business. The position is expected to be the face of Treasury Operations to our growing portfolio of senior housing operators. This position will cultivate and manage key relationships with critical internal functions including but not limited to Accounting, Legal, Tax, Investments and Asset Management.

Requirements

• 4-year undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar business field required.
• MBA and/or JD preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate Treasury setting.
• Prior experience supporting a business or external stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment that is results oriented and collaborative.
• Self-starter with structured ways of working.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and develop new processes or redefine existing processes.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.
• Experience navigating in major banking portals (JPM Morgan, Bank of America CashPro, Wells Fargo CEO, PNC, etc.) for payment processing, fraud prevention tools, and user administration.
• Strong analytical skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Experience working with Treasury workstations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to scale Treasury Operations to support our rapidly growing Senior Housing business, with a focus on operator engagement, process and technology enhancements and risk management.
• Serve as primary Treasury point-of-contact for recurring operator engagement efforts focused on sharing best practices, optimizing cash management and ensuring compliance with controls and policies.
• Manage and enhance established controls that effectively mitigate risk while supporting operators in managing the business efficiently.
• Administer and improve bank portal entitlements for Senior Housing operators including associated control frameworks, reporting and training requirements.
• Oversee critical elements of the operator/property treasury lifecycle, including upfront earnest money deposits, management agreement review, operator onboarding, operator bank portal entitlements, banking infrastructure setup, cash rent reporting and closing statement reviews.
• Support cash forecasting efforts by developing a deep understanding of key cash drivers including operator payroll, rent inflows and timing, and investment portfolio activity.
• Manage fraud claims from detection to resolution, coordinating with internal teams, operators and financial institutions to maximize recovery.
• Drive cash automation and reporting enhancement efforts to improve visibility and enable optimization across the treasury portfolio for Senior Housing.
• Perform industry research, competitor benchmarking and stay informed of recent banking and fraud trends to ensure Ventas remains forward-looking and delivers best-in-class Treasury Operations support for the business and operators.
