About The Position

Join a globally diverse team supporting Walmart's Procurement and Travel Operations. We drive value across the enterprise by leveraging data, technology, and strategic insights to optimize spend, enhance supplier relationships, and improve operational efficiency. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Data & Analytics to execute data-driven initiatives across global sourcing and travel programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data analytics, business acumen, and data management. This role will be critical in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by transforming data into actionable insights for business owners, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and governance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field and 2 years' experience in travel management, customer service, or related area OR 4 years' experience in travel management, customer service, or related area.
  • Extensive knowledge of data analytics, business acumen, and data management.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Big Data queries (e.g., Hive, Google BigQuery).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Dataiku) to support spend analysis, supplier RFPs, and travel program performance.
  • Leverage programming languages and big data tools (SQL, Python, R, Big Query, Snowflake) to manipulate, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
  • Automate reporting workflows and transition manual processes to scalable BI platforms.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, finance, engineering, and global procurement teams to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Apply predictive analytics and AI/ML techniques for fraud detection, rule reduction, and model monetization.
  • Translate complex data into compelling business narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
