About The Position

The Trauma Program Manager will oversee Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety and the Trauma PI Coordinator team. This position is full-time, working weekdays from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of the Trauma Program to identify, develop, and monitor programs aimed at improving clinical care and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The manager will also be responsible for training and managing Trauma Program staff, fostering clinical inquiry, and developing evidence-based guidelines for trauma and burn patient populations. Additionally, the manager will lead the development and review of patient care policies and collaborate with staff educators to support clinical nursing practice and innovation.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the applicable state Board of Nursing.
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience required.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from AHA required.
  • TNCC instructor and certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Promote quality outcomes through scientific inquiry.
  • Develop analytic and measurement strategies for assigned projects.
  • Train and manage Trauma Program staff.
  • Foster clinical inquiry through journal article reviews and presentations.
  • Lead the development and review of patient care policies.
  • Collaborate with staff educators to support clinical nursing practice.
  • Develop and manage trauma-related outreach networks.
  • Analyze and interpret clinical data for research activities.
