About The Position

The Training Manager at American Express is responsible for identifying training needs across the sales and account development lifecycles using data and internal customer feedback. This role involves managing and evolving the training strategy to meet internal customer needs, delivering effective training plans, and fostering the professional development of Field Colleagues in the Global and Large Field Organization. The position emphasizes collaboration with various business partners to ensure alignment and effectiveness of training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Outstanding facilitation skills and engaging style in front of both small and large audiences.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build an exciting learning experience.
  • Ability to identify learning and performance improvement needs, develop objectives, design plans, and demonstrate return on investment.
  • Excellent discernment and results orientation.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with a proven track record to effectively collaborate with senior leaders and internal business partners.
  • Strong presence with senior leaders and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with leaders and support teams to clearly identify training needs to drive growth targets.
  • Design and implement the learning journey for Client Management teams to drive outstanding performance of both front-line teams and leaders, including innovation of curriculums, training delivery, and reinforcement.
  • Strategize and align with business partners and key collaborators to maintain alignment and evolve training materials, topics, delivery methods, and calendar of activities.
  • Partner with Learning & Development Centers of Excellence to source, develop, and customize content based on role and/or segment's training needs.
  • Determine and define success metrics for training programs by partnering with the performance and insights team and using business performance metrics to measure outcomes.
