Responsibilities encompass overseeing both project execution and daily operations, directly supporting high-volume semiconductor wafer manufacturing and the introduction of new technologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering team success by aligning with executive leadership, formulating strategic objectives, optimizing resource allocation, mentoring team members, and cultivating a robust talent pipeline. Furthermore, effective and timely communication with all stakeholders is essential to expedite the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 10+ years in the semiconductor industry, including 3+ years in people management.
  • Expertise in Thin Films related Rapid Thermal Processing, Chemical Vapor Deposition, and Physical Wafer Deposition technologies.
  • Available for weekend duty and off-hours support.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical teams, driving operational excellence.
  • Recruit and train engineering staff, mentor career growth, develop talent, and foster a healthy, high-performing culture.
  • Collaborate across departments to implement improvements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Budgeting & resource prioritization. Strategically assigns resources to maximize productivity / quality and meet organizational goals.
  • Timely communication with related stakeholders.  Bridge between staff and executives to ensure alignment of business objectives throughout the organization.
  • Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement while staying updated on industry trends.

  • Pay Transparency & Other Compensation: At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $150,010 and $221,064 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $150,010 - $244,750 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
