The Manager, Telemedicine Services is responsible for the strategic and operational management of virtual care programs across the health system. This role oversees the day-to-day delivery, quality, compliance, and optimization of virtual care services to ensure access, efficiency, and excellence in patient care. The manager collaborates with clinical, IT, operational, financial and administrative stakeholders to scale telemedicine offerings in alignment with organizational goals. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight, especially on critical matters. The role frequently involves exercising discretion and independent judgment, evaluating different options, and making informed decisions. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related field required.
  • 3 years of progressive management experience in healthcare operations, with at least 2 years in telemedicine, digital health, or virtual care services.
  • Experience working in a health system, hospital, or large outpatient care setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with telehealth regulations, reimbursement, and digital health technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
  • Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs), video conferencing platforms, and telehealth technology tools.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of financial reporting and patient encounter data analysis.
