About The Position

This role owns the end-to-end transactability health of Walmart’s catalog, ensuring items are fully enabled, compliant, and sellable across eCommerce channels. The Manager, Technology Operations – Item Enablement - Transactability operates at the intersection of technology, item data, business operations, and customer and seller experience, driving scalable solutions that improve item readiness, reduce friction, and unlock GMV.This leader manages complex, cross-functional programs spanning Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to deliver measurable improvements in item quality, transactability, automation, and platform efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong program and technology operations management experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with item data, platform enablement, digital operations, or large-scale catalog systems.
  • Solid understanding of how technology decisions impact business outcomes and customer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical details into understandable business impact.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 3 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Option 2: 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.

  • Experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, item onboarding, content quality, or platform enablement.
  • Familiarity with automation, rules engines, workflows, and data quality frameworks.
  • Background in driving large-scale operational transformation or GenAI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the transactability lifecycle for items from onboarding through live site readiness and maintenance.
  • Define success metrics for item readiness (coverage, quality, automation, defect reduction).
  • Translate business pain points into scalable, technology-driven solutions.
  • Lead multiple medium- to high-complexity technology programs focused on item enablement, data quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Decompose large initiatives into clear milestones, owners, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify risks to transactability outcomes and proactively drive mitigation plans.
  • Ensure delivery against roadmap commitments with strong governance and execution rigor.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Item Integrity, Seller Experience, Compliance, and Operations teams.
  • Lead forums that align stakeholders on priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery expectations.
  • Influence without authority by grounding decisions in data, customer impact, and platform scale.
  • Connect transactability improvements to GMV unlock, cost reduction, and productivity gains.
  • Track investment vs. return for automation and platform initiatives.
  • Drive operational simplification and reduction of manual item interventions.
  • Establish dashboards and reporting that clearly communicate transactability health, risks, and trends.
  • Use data to identify systemic issues, prioritize fixes, and measure program effectiveness.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a concise, decision-ready format.
  • Lead, coach, and develop associates with a focus on ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and customer-first thinking.
