About The Position

The Manager Technical Services for the Americas is responsible for overseeing the Technical Services team for PVD and CVD equipment across the Americas. This role includes managing the P&L for Technical Services, developing staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or similar technical BS degree.
  • Proven success in managing and performing service/maintenance.
  • Experience with PVD coating and peripheral equipment preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Field Services.
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Vacuum technology experience is a plus.
  • Experience with project management and customer experience improvement initiatives.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer and service orientation with high-level problem-solving skills.
  • Open to new ideas and innovations.
  • Experience in an international and cross-cultural business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Technical Services team for PVD and CVD equipment in the Americas.
  • Act as Deputy of Manager Technical Services for Thermal Spray equipment in the Americas.
  • Responsible for P&L for Technical Services in the Americas.
  • Manage the selection and development of people, resources, and budgets necessary to support coating centers and equipment customers.
  • Direct staff in performance management, training, and skills development.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor work procedures and processes.
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Ensure technical support including service calls, installation, repair, upgrades, and maintenance service.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of the Technical Services team.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer sites to maintain strong customer relations and optimize sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management, internal departments, and external vendors to enhance service levels and equipment reliability.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor key performance indicators and initiate actions to meet targets.
  • Continuously optimize Technical Services processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Consolidate budgets and provide forecast information.
  • Lead or participate in projects related to Technical Services.
  • Drive digitalization within Technical Services.
