A technical and solutions Program Manager with experience driving security and digital transformation programs to achieve security, quality, performance and regulatory compliance objectives, while managing project cost, schedule, and development budgets. Navigates multifaceted relationships with internal and external partners, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to act as a trusted advisor, ensuring requirements are integrated seamlessly into the development lifecycle without stifling innovation. This role is a hybrid position based out of our Holtsville, NY office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. Zebra reserves the right to modify your work location based on business need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree ideally Engineering, Computer Science or Cyber Security degree, or related technical BS Degree.
  • 8+ years of technical program management experience including minimum 2 years as team leader/ supervisor.
  • Technical program management experience working directly with security engineering teams in fast paced environment.
  • Experience in managing cyber security programs like vulnerability management, asset management, risk management, data security, access control and governance programs.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting platforms (e.g. Power BI) and PMO tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master s degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PgMP, PMP, CSM, Six Sigma or similar
  • In depth knowledge of security concepts and Security Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in leading multiple complex projects or programs simultaneously, programs involving security governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, EU AI Act)
  • Experience at developing tools and reports to demonstrate current situation, progress, tracking and risks.
  • Experience driving change transformation in complex projects, especially security-related improvements, with associated KPIs/SLAs and demonstrated improvements
  • Experience influencing without direct authority at senior levels internal and external to the PMO and Engineering organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of technical security solutions inclusive of concept definition, requirements validation, architecture specification, and governance compliance to our Product and Solutions Lifecycle Management framework.
  • Work closely with executives, engineering leaders, and the information security officers to define and maintain the strategic security program roadmap and rollout plan.
  • Manage a comprehensive portfolio of security initiatives, meticulously tracking dependencies between internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain security program documentation, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and performance dashboards for executive and technical audiences.
  • Coordinate work between hardware, software, and IT teams to ensure "security-by-design" principles are integrated throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Champion and embed security best practices across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), implementing 'shift-left' principles such as threat modeling, automated security testing (SAST/DAST), and secure coding standards within the development process.
  • Translate complex security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2) into actionable engineering and reporting use cases.
  • Functional leadership of program management teams with possible direct supervision of level 1, 2 and senior PM s.
  • Independently drives team growth and development plans and supports individual s execution of development activities such as training, mentorships, and guiding growth opportunities for high potentials.
  • Team leadership for scaled Agile cross-functional innovation teams.
  • Contribute to and promote the development of agile skillset and capabilities within Zebra.
  • Execute multiple limited scope projects simultaneously or a large program with senior manager s guidance utilizing modern project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness.
  • Proven experience in driving digital transformation initiatives, with a strong understanding of AI and automation technologies and their application in enterprise solutions.
  • Ability to translate customer problems into solution requirements.
  • Leads creating cross functional workstreams and driving execution for sales enablement, development and deployment.
  • Independently building relationships and working across all relevant areas of the solution business including Sales, Services, IT, Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Works independently with business in defining proof of value and customer s return on investment.
  • Organizes and presents business, technical and program reviews/status to Senior Leadership using digital media, dashboards and JIRA agile project management tools.
  • Independently execute to program plan and budgets for multiple, large projects.
  • Recommend corrective actions and implement changes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks; develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
  • Recognized as an "expert" in the business function and processes in which the program is operating.
  • Demonstrates the ability to see cross-functional impacts of decisions and project plans and execution.
  • Balances scope, schedule and budget considerations to adjust the project with minimal impact to the business.
  • Understands the business objectives of the program and assumes personal accountability for success of the program against those objectives.
  • May coach or act as escalation point for Senior Program Managers or grades below.
  • Define strategic initiatives to align the business to agile product development.
  • Assist in the development of business plans, strategies and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
  • Initiate strategic partnerships with technology companies (including startups) that are developing adjacent new cutting-edge solution elements.
  • Partner with Zebra Ventures to identify entities that are added-value to your business and solutions.
  • Develop and protect intellectual property; be well versed with IP fundamentals.
  • Explore and understand competitive landscape in both product and business terms.
