About The Position

Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DLR) is looking to add a Tax Accounting Manager to its global tax team. This exciting role will play an integral role in partnership and support of the global tax provision, financial reporting and SOX controls for a multinational organization. In this role, you will report to the US Senior Tax Manager and join a global team with members in the US, Europe, and Asia. Requirements

  • To meet the basic qualification for this role you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 6-9+years of corporate tax experience, including public accounting and industry experience
  • Solid working knowledge of ASC 740 principles and experience with global reporting of quarterly income tax accounting and related disclosures
  • Solid experience with multi-national tax operations
  • Solid technical knowledge of US corporate income tax principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid organizational skills, great attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • The ability to achieve goals and work independently as well as contribute to team goals

Nice To Haves

  • A master's in Taxation/or Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Big Four experience
  • Experience with Oracle Tax Reporting
  • Experience with tax provision reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Assist with supporting the review of the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process as required by ASC 740 for Digital and its global affiliates, including evaluation of tax law changes, calculation of the effective tax rate, preparation and review of current and deferred tax provisions, preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of tax accounts, and collaboration with the international tax and accounting teams for appropriate consolidated income tax reporting
  • Support oversight of tax accounting for M&A activity, restructuring or reorganization initiatives
  • Prepare and review income tax disclosures and footnotes for annual and quarterly financial statements
  • Prepare tax memos regarding uncertain tax positions, realization of deferred tax assets and documenting the tax implications of various transactions
  • Review monthly account reconciliations for income taxes and professional tax service fees accrued
  • Work closely with accounting to understand financial statement reporting for separate legal entities, including regular review of accounting system and financial statement information to ensure integrity of the reports
  • Assist with managing the US TRS financial statement reporting
  • Assist with management and review of the outsourced income tax compliance associated with the federal, state and local income tax filings
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements, standardization and automation initiatives
  • Maintain strong working relationships and coordination with external consultants and advisors
  • Influence and collaboration with key global cross-functional partners and leadership in Accounting, Finance, Legal and Business teams
