Recognizing the strategic nature of the tax function, Restaurant Brands International is building a world class tax department with personnel based in Miami, FL and Toronto, ON. The teams in Miami and Toronto work closely together to meet the diverse tax compliance and planning needs of this large and complex international organization. Due to the company’s growth and expansion, we are currently building a dedicated provision team in Miami to manage and oversee the provision process and are currently looking for a Manager, Tax Provision and Compliance to be a part of this dedicated provision team.

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. in accounting or finance, Master’s degree in Tax/Accounting a plus
• CPA
• 6+ years of related experience
• Significant Big 4 and large public, multinational company experience (preferred)
• Experience in U.S. and international tax and tax accounting
• Working technical understanding of ASC 740
• Strong analytical, quantitative and excel skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Tax research and analysis skills
• Experience with tax provision software helpful
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Miami-based position

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex global income tax provision and SEC reporting
• Member of the core tax provision team, assist on global tax provision efforts
• Analyze, calculate and document appropriate reserves for uncertain tax positions (FIN 48)
• Prepare and review of U.S. and international income tax compliance
• Maintain SOX controls and processes for income taxes
• Maintain documentation for foreign tax credits, including withholding taxes
