Vincere TaxCarmel, IN

About The Position

Vincere Tax isn't your average accounting firm. We're a fast-growing, tech-forward tax and accounting company supporting "full-service" clients across the country. We're looking for a sharp, client-ready tax and accounting professional who can do it all — from reviewing tax returns to managing a bookkeeping client relationship — without missing a beat. This is a high-impact role for someone who's equally comfortable digging into a tax return and jumping on a client call. If you're the kind of person who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and never lets a deadline sneak up on you, keep reading. You'll serve as a key member of our Full Service team, working directly with clients on both the tax and accounting sides of their financial lives. During tax season, your primary focus will be tax return review and client communication. Outside of tax season, you'll shift toward managing bookkeeping relationships, financial reporting, and proactive advisory work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license — required
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of professional tax and accounting experience
  • Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns (1040s, 1120-S, 1065s)
  • Comfortable having direct client conversations about tax and financial topics
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and familiar with financial statement preparation and review
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to thrive under deadlines and manage multiple client relationships simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
  • Experience working in a small firm or full-service advisory model (not just compliance)
  • Background in S-corp taxation, pass-through entities, or small business advisory
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing junior staff work

Responsibilities

  • Review tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance across individual (1040) and business (S-Corp, Partnership, C-Corp) returns. This will only be about 50 total returns per year (small, high value book).
  • Communicate directly with clients about tax questions, return status, planning opportunities, and filing decisions — you're comfortable owning that conversation
  • Manage a book of bookkeeping clients, serving as their primary accounting contact for monthly close, financial statements, and ongoing advisory needs
  • Oversee and review work performed by junior accounting staff, providing feedback and quality control
  • Prepare and deliver financial statements, reports, and analyses for clients
  • Provide proactive tax planning and financial advice — you're not just reactive, you're helping clients think ahead
  • Keep workflow moving during tax season — monitoring output, identifying bottlenecks, and keeping management informed
  • Contribute to process improvements across both tax and accounting workflows

Benefits

  • Flexible schedule
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • Unlimited Paid time off
  • Fully remote work environment
