Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant recruitment or HR experience required, at least 3 of those years in supervisory capacity.
  • The 3 years of supervisory experience can be in a different field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruitment processes

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting search committee processes is helpful, and preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the planning, implementation, coordination, operation and evaluation of talent recruitment.
  • Develops and recommends policies and policy changes to senior leadership to enhance the applicant experience, customer service to business leaders, and streamline operations.
  • Assesses program effectiveness.
  • Provides input and recommendations for wage and salary program alignment in support of recruitment efforts.
  • Works with Business Partners and leaders to promote workforce planning in areas of high turnover and in shortage professions.
  • Develops a pro-active recruitment program, which includes building a best-in-class experience for applicants, talent pool and pipeline development and conducting other related activities.
  • Oversees the daily activity of Talent Acquisition teams and makes recommendations to increase productivity and improve processes.
  • Works with hiring managers, HR partners and marketing to build an employer brand that focuses on attraction, screening, and selection processes for presenting positive, balanced, and accurate attributes of the position, the department, and the organization to provide candidates with a rewarding interview and candidate experience.
  • Assists in the planning, coordination, operation, implementation and evaluation of programs, policies, and procedures related to the Recruitment of Talent and related goals and objectives and aligning these with overall goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates recruitment and related programs/policies and monitors effectiveness to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Develops new and innovative approaches and action plans for outreach and recruitment to meet business objectives, regulatory compliance, and the University's strategic goals.
  • Collaborates closely with HR partners, hiring managers, and talent acquisition leadership to plan and execute appropriate recruitment strategies and action plans to secure top talent in identified areas, and meet strategic workforce planning needs.
  • Consults with client managers to establish relationships and create mutually beneficial partnerships, gathering information from them and their HR partners to react appropriately to staff current openings and proactively plan for future talent needs, with a focus on forecasting.
  • Provides advice and counsel to the business about legal requirements, recruitment policies, and practices associated with hiring top talent.
  • Develops and implements programs, policies, and procedures designed to enhance talent recruitment functions.
  • Develops, interprets and/or communicates policies, procedures and services through written and oral presentations.
  • Evaluates policies, procedures services and develops, recommends and implements changes when appropriate.
  • Provides direction to recruitment staff and determines priorities, policies, and procedures for sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, reference checks, evaluating applicant qualifications, including supervision of staff in making job offers including salary determination and communication to candidates and department etc.
  • Hires, manages and evaluates performance, recommends classification reviews, and initiates other personnel-related actions for staff in talent recruitment.
  • Orients and trains staff in the department as required.
  • Maintains an awareness of recruitment sources, selection processes, job requirements, and legislation concerning equal employment practices.
  • Identifies vendors and service products that will support the recruitment process and negotiate terms and conditions of these contracts in collaboration with University Purchasing.
  • Interfaces with other human resources teams to ensure an adequate flow of information.
  • Actively participates in and supports executive recruitment efforts including identifying placement firms and negotiating terms and conditions of contracts in collaboration with University Purchasing.
  • Develops and implements sourcing strategies.
  • Utilizes data through statistical analysis to determine the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and to build recruitment strategies.
  • Prepares presentations about program goals and outcome measures to senior leadership.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for regulations and policies related to talent recruitment and employment-related regulations and policies.
  • Assures compliance with established University policies and procedures and local, state, and federal laws or regulations.
  • Provides supporting data for goals and objectives.
  • Keeps abreast of trends in the field by reading professional journals and attending meetings, institutions, seminars, etc.
