About The Position

The Manager of a Surgery Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic management of the facility to ensure the delivery of high-quality surgical care. Ultimately, the manager ensures that the surgery center operates smoothly, meets all healthcare regulations, and provides an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a surgical or ambulatory care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and surgical center operations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
  • Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center Executive (CASCE) or similar certification.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare IT solutions.
  • Background in quality improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Previous experience managing budgets and financial planning in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all aspects of surgery center operations, including scheduling, staffing, and patient flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, accreditation requirements, and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of clinical care.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and oversee staff training and development programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Address patient concerns and work to enhance patient satisfaction and experience.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
