About the position

The Manager of Supply Planning is responsible for overseeing daily planning activities to achieve global customer service targets and manage inventory levels for various brands. This role involves process improvement, team development, and metric tracking to minimize inventory costs while ensuring effective collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply planning to maximize customer service and optimize inventory.
  • Develop material management strategies and propose service/cost solutions.
  • Monitor rough cut capacity plans and identify high-risk areas within the supply chain.
  • Manage NPD/EPD planning and ensure timely execution with all planning partners.
  • Liaise with cross-functional partners throughout the product life cycle.
  • Maintain planning master data and ensure data integrity within planning tools.
  • Provide direction to customer logistics regarding global intercompany allocation decisions.
  • Adjust planning strategies and update system parameters for optimal inventory quality.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure OTIF expectations are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement through training and strategic planning.
  • Participate in S&OP planning processes and monthly inventory projections.
  • Perform supply and demand analysis and quantify business risks.
  • Troubleshoot global supply constraints and develop inventory targets.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in master production scheduling, supply chain planning, or procurement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes including manufacturing planning and material planning.
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management and EOQ methodology.
  • Experience with MS Office suite, especially Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong coaching and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts.

Nice-to-haves

  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) highly desirable.
