Position is responsible for utilizing strong decision making, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills between multiple stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate integration of suppliers into Sysco’s North America network including, but not limited to, regional distribution center and forward warehouse supplier negotiation and adoptions, category management award to product owner, enterprise supplier service level, compliance, and freight revenue management. Critical to success is managing multiple Supply Chain Managers, setting team direction, strategy, and timelines for given initiatives along with hiring, coaching, training, and executing disciplinary actions. Understanding priorities is necessary to resolve resource and workload conflicts as a result of competing priorities. These responsibilities require the Sr. Manager to acquire a deep understanding of each initiative and the effect their collective supplier base has on the enterprise. Since Supply Chain Managers (SCMs) are the primary supply chain contact for each supplier and own the integration process, soliciting input from other organizations will be necessary to augment his/her own understanding in order to successfully achieve department goals.
