About The Position

The Manager, Supply Chain at T-Mobile is a people manager position that leads day-to-day execution and continuous improvement for network equipment supply chain operations, integrating forward (planning, inbound logistics, warehousing, staging/kitting, and field fulfillment) and reverse (returns, RMA coordination, repair/refurbishment, redeployment, and disposition) functions. This position manages execution at third-party logistics and repair partners, ensuring critical spares and materials are available to support network build, upgrade, and maintenance activities. Acting as the operational liaison to Network Engineering, Field Operations, Procurement, and Finance, the manager owns vendor performance, SLA adherence, and resolution of service-impacting escalations. The Manager, Supply Chain drives process improvements, cost controls, and adoption of systems and tools (WMS/ERP integrations, asset tracking/serialization, dashboards) to strengthen visibility, controls, and scalability. Success is measured by improved network readiness, inventory accuracy, reduced aging/cost-to-serve, and sustained vendor performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, or related field
  • 2-4 years - Leadership experience overseeing initiatives and managing others
  • 4-7 years - Leading and managing supply chain operations including one or more aspects of planning, materials management, business and performance analysis, vendor management, and logistics.
  • 4-7 years - Developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with business objectives
  • Supply Chain Management- Expertise in overseeing various aspects of supply chain processes including planning, materials management, and logistics. (Required)
  • Leadership- Ability to lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. (Required)
  • Strategic Thinking- Capability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for process improvement, cost control, and risk mitigation in supply chain operations. (Required)
  • Problem Solving- Skills in identifying problems, analyzing possible solutions, and implementing effective resolutions in supply chain management. (Required)
  • Analytics- Proficiency in analyzing data to drive supply chain decisions and improve operational performance. (Required)
  • Vendor Management- Experience in managing relationships with vendors to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. (Required)
  • Communication- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management. (Required)
  • Business Acumen Understanding of business operations and how supply chain management impacts the overall success of the company. (Required)
  • Negotiation- Skills in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable agreements.

  • Master's/Advanced Degree Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred)
  • Project Management- Ability to manage supply chain projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and alignment with overall business objectives. (Preferred)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification from APICS that demonstrates knowledge in supply chain management and the ability to effectively streamline operations. (Preferred)
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM): Certification that validates expertise in production and inventory management, enhancing the efficiency of the supply chain. (Preferred)
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certification from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) that indicates expertise in supply management and procurement. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations across inbound, warehousing, staging/kitting, fulfillment, returns, repair/refurbishment, redeployment, and disposition for network equipment and critical spares. Ensure reliable execution and readiness for field deployment.
  • Manage operational relationships with logistics, repair, OEM, and disposition partners; enforce SLAs, drive corrective actions, and improve partner performance across forward and reverse flows.
  • Independently resolve cross-functional operational issues and escalations that threaten network readiness, inventory integrity, or cost outcomes; lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Design and implement process improvements across receiving, put-away, inventory controls, staging, outbound fulfillment, returns triage, and disposition to reduce cycle time, defects, and cost-to-serve.
  • Drive adoption and stabilization of WMS/ERP integrations, asset-tracking/serialization, automation, and performance dashboards to improve accuracy, traceability, and operational decisioning.
  • Deliver operational scorecards and actionable insights to Network Engineering, Field Ops, Procurement, and Finance; translate data into prioritized actions and capacity/ inventory recommendations.
  • Support onboarding of new suppliers/3PL capabilities, peak readiness, and other short-term or transformational initiatives as required.
