About The Position

Novolex is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging that supports multiple industries including foodservice, restaurant delivery and carryout, food processing, grocery and retail, and industrial sectors. Novolex manufacturing and sourcing expertise spans a diverse range of substrates including resin, paper, molded fiber, aluminum and more. We provide customers a broad array of stock and customized solutions with 120 product categories, 250 brands and over 39,000 SKUs. This position will be responsible for the SIOP process for an operational unit and oversee a team of planners who produce manufacturing plans for multiple manufacturing plants across major product categories. Direct responsibilities of this role include:

Requirements

  • BA/BS required with emphasis in supply chain, business or operations management preferred
  • 3+ years business or supply chain experience in a multi-facility environment
  • Ability to lead direct reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy – Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system required; SAP, JDA/Blue Yonder a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • High analytical ability
  • Self-Directed & demonstrates the ability to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or potential issues
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities with sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem identification & follow through to issue resolution
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well with a variety of individuals
  • Demonstrates an understanding of SIOP processes and master planning
  • Willing to travel moderately

Responsibilities

  • Generate a monthly SIOP and hold monthly meetings for various business platforms that drives overall inventory, transportation and warehousing plans, and lead a monthly review of supply plans with Operations, Warehousing, Inventory, Demand Planning and Engineering
  • Analyze capacity constraints and make recommendations for capital investment necessary for new business or manufacturing footprint changes.
  • Ensure alignment of service, inventory and cost targets
  • Meet KPI targets for Delivery, Inventory and Cost and work cross functionally to develop countermeasures when off target
  • Present polished and concise data and recommendations with good decision quality to cross functional teams of peers and Executives
  • Drive decision making, including at the Executive level
  • Manage and develop direct reports which may include both production planners and plant schedulers
