About The Position

The Manager of Supply Chain Data Analytics will be responsible for defining and extending strategies around self-serve BI and reporting platforms and business analytics to enable efficient and effective measurement of Supply Chain performance. This position will be accountable for maintaining a deep understanding of business needs in order to set common measurements, evaluate performance, and report on and drive improvements in operational efficiency. This role will build and lead a high-performing team that will drive value for the business and its stakeholders by maintaining strong relationships, staying close to business processes, and adapting to changes in business requirements and structural evolutions. This position can be based out of Allentown, PA; Louisville, KY; Providence, RI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years’ Experience in Business Intelligence & Reporting, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or Data Science, preferably in a technological environment.
  • 3+ years’ Formal or informal leadership experience, including people and/or project leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, IT, or other relevant discipline preferred.
  • Strong SQL database skills.
  • Experience building high-performing teams.
  • Strong track record of staying rooted in business values, staying close to the process, structural evolutions and end user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Leadership Team by providing analytic approaches to key strategic initiatives, challenging assumptions, and increasing analytic rigor.
  • Expand on current reporting and data visualization strategies and models, applying best practices across the industry.
  • Set, maintain and evolve the Business Analytics roadmap. Determine the prioritization and workflows of business performance and analytic initiatives and reporting requests.
  • Partner with development teams in creating scalable data solutions.
  • Develop and strengthen forecasting models for business performance.
  • Develop strong collaborative working relationships with PPL teams to ensure strong delivery of high quality KPIs, metrics, scorecards, and business analytics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate overall results of business analyses to multiple levels of leadership across all mediums (written, verbal, presentations).
  • Increase automation and scale of analytic and reporting resources over time.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand business problems and design solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Drive best in class reporting solutions (self-serve) to enable teams to make data driven decisions.
  • Reimagine existing reports and drive for simplification and more usable information to better enable users to draw conclusions and develop actionable insights.
  • Ensure the highest level of data integrity & security across the analytics portfolio and ensure consistent output across all reporting teams.
  • Manage reporting project portfolio and maintain relevant reporting library – encourage usage, deprecate unused reports, prioritize features.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts to support the reporting and analytic needs of Supply Chain.
  • May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
