About The Position

The Manager, Supplier Management at Capital One is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives within the Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Team. This role focuses on enhancing the management of third-party suppliers, fostering a culture of inclusion, and ensuring effective training and communication within the Third Party Management community. The position requires strategic thinking, leadership, and the ability to influence and drive process improvements across the organization.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, Process Management, or a combination.

Nice To Haves

• At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Leverage critical thinking skills to ideate future state solutions and best practices for third party management.
• Create, lead, and facilitate robust training programs for new and experienced Third Party Managers.
• Teach, facilitate and coach Third Party Managers to deliver strong outcomes and manage their supplier portfolios with a risk-focused approach.
• Represent the TPM community in several cross-functional forums to define new intent coming into ESM and provide feedback on the level of impact to the TPMs.
• Support the CoE with documenting current state processes, identifying gaps, and proposing future state solutions.
• Deliver strong communications plan for the TPM community and share upcoming training opportunities.
• Exercise influence across multiple domains to drive process improvements and adoption via presentation and storytelling skills.
