In this role, the manager will oversee all aspects of student employment at Chicago Booth, ensuring compliance with GSU regulations while managing the TA payment process and implementing necessary process improvements. The manager will also work closely with the Office of International Affairs to counsel international students and faculty members on work authorization, tax treaties, and visa limitations. Additionally, the manager will handle all temporary and part-time benefits ineligible (PTBI) employment, including recruitment, onboarding, and monitoring ERISA hours, while proactively working with supervisors to manage temporary employees effectively. The position involves tracking, analyzing, and reporting on payroll and overtime, collaborating with department heads to ensure accurate timekeeping and compliance. The manager will create ad-hoc reports and facilitate compliance processes for various employee categories, serving as a system expert for time-related issues. Training new time approvers and auditing hours for non-exempt employees are also key responsibilities.
