What YOU will do Analyze, research and develop structural engineering specifications for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Design, develop and test metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs. Research and develop new and improved manufacturing processes. Establish structural specifications, conduct performance tests and plan stress tests on models or prototypes of systems or equipment to ensure quality of product/project. Evaluate product data and design from inspections and reports to ensure conformance to engineering principles, customer equipment and quality standards. Determine most effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation, oxidation, hydrogenation, and polymerization. Supervise 4 reports including three Senior Engineers, Structural Engineering and one Principal Engineer, Structural Engineering. Requirements

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and 8 years of progressive experience as an Aerospace Stress Engineer, Aerospace Stress Manager or related role.
  • In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience as an Aerospace Stress Engineer, Aerospace Stress Manager or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in design of integrated nacelle structures, including Thrust Reversers.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience performing stress analysis to substantiate MRB dispositions for non-conformance product (Nacelles), working with multidisciplinary teams (MRB, Operations, Quality, Design, Aerodynamics & Specialty analysis, etc.).
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in metallic and composite structures.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in complex repairs and analytical methods.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in Airbus concession process supporting delegated and non-delegated concessions.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience with OEM quality system requirement for Airbus, Boeing, Embraer.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
