Role OverviewMcDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly. This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as Manager, Strategic Sourcing Services This position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across high-impact indirect categories in Corporate Support Services – Legal Services , Financial Services and similar categories. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, negotiation expertise, supplier management skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex, global organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or related procurement.
- Demonstrated experience as a Category Manager with strong negotiation skills.
- Proven supplier management and contract negotiation expertise.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Stable career progression (no frequent job changes).
Nice To Haves
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience sourcing Professional Services, FI, Legal, or Technology categories.
- Experience in multinational stakeholder environments.
- Familiarity with procurement and contract management tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop multi-year category strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead sourcing events including assessments, RFPs, supplier selection, and negotiations.
- Manage negotiations for high-value categories.
- Advise stakeholders on contracting approaches and commercial terms.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and oversee performance.
- Identify and mitigate contract-level risks throughout the lifecycle.
- Approve reported savings in partnership with the Center of Excellence.
- Influence stakeholders and act as a strategic sourcing consultant.
- Communicate sourcing insights and recommendations effectively.
- Manage pipeline of initiatives and forecast sourcing resources.
- Leverage procurement and contract management tools to optimize operations.
