About The Position

The Manager Activation (Strategic Partnerships) manages the day-to-day execution of signed strategic partner agreements, including contract execution and activation elements for MGM Resorts International through event specific physical and experiential initiatives, as well as sports and sponsorship activations tied to high profile consumer events at the local, regional, and global level. This role also oversees day-to-day impressions and consumer engagement, partnering with key stakeholders to drive successful activation and ancillary revenue opportunities. All duties are performed in accordance with department and MGM Resorts International policies, procedures, and legal requirements. At all times, the role ensures the goals and interests of the department, division, and all MGM Resorts International properties, individually and collectively, are upheld and preserved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in entertainment, sports, events, or related field required
  • Knowledge of TTB Regulations highly preferred
  • Previous Event Operations Experience preferred
  • Similar experience working in a Sport, Resort, Entertainment, Sponsorship setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages and fulfills customized event and sponsor activation elements for the company.
  • Oversees the department activation process and platform to ensure consistent, high quality execution across the organization.
  • Executes against Strategic Partnerships KPIs including brand impressions, consumer engagement, and ROI optimization.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and achieve company goals, providing operational expertise and guidance.
  • Leads account and project management, coordinating with outside agencies to plan and execute event activations and corporate initiatives across resort departments.
  • Directs high value programs, measuring performance against defined success metrics and continuously improving activations.
  • Manages cross functional teams including advertising, entertainment marketing, media, legal, risk, public relations, casino marketing, corporate marketing, information technology, strategic sourcing, and resort operations.
  • Ensures timely and comprehensive communication of project elements across MGM Resorts International Centers of Excellence and property leadership.
  • Develops and manages cooperative budget fund activation strategies including budgeting, calendar planning, execution, evaluation, and optimization.
  • Oversees sponsor activations and extensions tied to sporting events and partners with sports and sponsorship teams throughout the contracting process.
  • Serves as day to day point of contact for account management, project management, and agency partners, including onsite event leadership from load in to load out.
  • Leads post event wrap ups, reporting, and performance analysis.
