About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft parts and supplies are received, stored, and distributed, in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Leads a team of Material Operations personnel, to include Supervisors, Leads Specialists, and Clerks to support various aircraft fleet types and customer activities in a fast-paced environment. Develops and implements best practices in all areas of responsibility to ensure a world class supply chain operation. Typically manages a major hub and related stations (staffed or unstaffed) in a defined support area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experienc
  • 3 to 5 years of aircraft parts and facilities management
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with at least ten direct/indirect reports with the ability to effectively lead/manage a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in the English language (Written/Verbal) is a must
  • Ability to work [with minimal supervision] independently and as a member of a team
  • Having a problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to be resourceful and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Must be flexible and be available to work outside of scheduled hours as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with aviation Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically if required

Responsibilities

  • Staffed stations support: overseas and participate in daily stores functions such as receiving, binning, inventory control, shipping of Atlas material spares, and assuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Unstaffed stations support: Performs regular visits to unstaffed stations in the defined support region, assuring that all Stores activities and processes are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • FSK inventory: supports Flight Spares Kit inventories replenishment and reconciliation as required.
  • Staffing: Manages all activities of Station Staff, developing and implementing staffing work schedules.
  • Communication: maintains good communication with internal areas such as Material Planning, Procurement, Repairs, and AOG Desk, to assure efficient flow of materials and proactively avoid potential disruptions.
  • Training: ensures that Stations staff are properly trained and qualified to accomplish job-related functions, such as good working knowledge of the GMM and other Atlas manuals applicable to Stores operation, Dangerous Goods shipping, and handling
  • Safety: ensures that safe and healthy workplace conditions are maintained, assuring station facilities are neat, clean, and organized. Responsible for the provisioning and maintenance of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc. within subject stores facilities.
  • Security: responsible for maintaining security of all material and equipment at all Stores facilities.
  • Performs Level 1 and Level 2 receiving inspection functions on behalf of Quality Control to ensure that parts acquired contain the proper documentation, conform to acceptable quality standards, and comply with Atlas Air policies and FARs
  • Assures that 100% of the certification documents are scanned to AirVault
  • Keeps quarantine items locked and properly identified
  • Assures that all Stores inspection equipment (ESD table, measurement tools, etc.) is available and calibrated as required.
  • Maintains material receiving performance within defined targets
  • Tracks receiving discrepancies, assuring that they are timely resolved
  • Ensures that time-controlled parts are accurately entered in TRAX and required labels are applied according to GMM
  • Addresses any TRAX Material Master discrepancies to Configuration Engineering
  • Maintains inventory accuracy through adherence to established procedures, monitored with cycle counting program.
  • Accomplishes Inventory Count (cycle and high value) per defined schedule
  • Investigates any missing material cases, fills appropriate Missing Assets Forms; work with internal areas (asset control, finance, insurance, internal audit) to address and close findings.
  • Regularly checks inventory for shelf life and tool calibration to prevent expired material on the shelf
  • Coordinates the systemic and physical scrap of materials.
  • Controls tooling inventory assuring handling, logistics and calibration with guidance from the Manager of Aircraft Tooling
  • Provides material pre-draw for required aircraft scheduled maintenance activity
  • Packs parts in accordance with company defined procedures
  • Supports the investigation of damaged parts from stock (BFS damage)
  • Ships parts with required documentation (quality, export, hazmat, etc.)
  • Take pictures of the part and package if the picture taking system is implemented.
  • Ensures the timely, cost-effective, and safe transportation of materials. Follows Atlas Shipping Policy.
