About The Position
The position involves the design and development of steering and front axle aggregates for various vehicle platforms including Bus, LCV, ICV, HCV, and MCV. The role requires a strong hands-on experience with DMU, Team Centre, GD&T, and CATIA V5. Responsibilities include selecting steering gearboxes, performing TCD, and calculating steering effort. The candidate should have knowledge of DFA, DFM, DFS, and DFMEA, as well as vehicle-level and component-level DVP requirements. Interaction with CAE, CDMM, and validation teams for aggregate development is essential. Understanding of standards and regulations related to commercial vehicles is also required. The candidate will define and predict system-level performance requirements and benchmark contemporary vehicles to create a database. Verification of detailed design through prototype building and monitoring project timelines is a key deliverable.
