We are seeking a talented and experienced Manager, State and Local Tax Services to join the Tax department. Responsibilities are, but not limited to: Working in a highly interactive and dynamic team environment within CC’s State and Local Tax Services (SALT) practice. Working with clients and internal CC personnel, as well as performing tax research analysis on a wide array of SALT matters and subjects, including but not limited to: Income and indirect tax nexus. Apportionment and revenue sourcing for business activity, income, and indirect taxes. Sales taxability matrices and analysis for indirect taxes. Credits and incentives for job creation and qualifying investments. SALT planning and implementation. M&A SALT due diligence for pending transactions. SALT controversies involving audits and administrative appeals. Sales and use-tax compliance, including but not limited to registration, filings, and remittance. QualificationsThe ideal candidate must:

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, LLM, or master’s in taxation.
  • Have broad SALT experience, inducing but not limited to income/franchise tax, personal income tax, and sales/use tax.
  • 6+ years of tax experience, in which at least four of those years are exclusively in SALT (public accounting or law firm required).
  • The ability to develop strong team relationships.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Have strong analytical and research skills (corporate or firm environment required).
  • Be highly organized.
  • Possess a strong desire to learn new concepts and apply them in real time.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of multi-state tax concepts.

  • CPA and/or JD (preferred).
