The Specimen Processing Manager will oversee Specimen Processing, Imaging, and Tech Ops, and may also oversee some or all of the following: Referral Testing and Test In Question. This role is responsible for training all personnel and managing all daily operations of related departments. The manager must ensure that all Compliance Policies are followed, maintain a low error rate, and ensure productivity within company standards. Additionally, the manager is responsible for maintaining a safe, ergonomically sound, and professional environment. The position requires mental alertness and high energy to perform the job effectively. The manager must work collaboratively with other departments to resolve problems and foster continuous improvements. Flexibility and availability based on staffing requirements, including weekends and holidays, is essential, as well as being on call and working long hours. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary to manage client concerns, technical departments, and employees professionally. The manager will be required to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting, and organize and lead projects within the work group and with cross-functional groups. Presentations and public speaking are also required.
