About The Position

The Specialty Accounting Manager is responsible for providing analytical, accounting, and management expertise in specialty areas such as real estate, insurance, tax, and other receivables. This role involves overseeing the specialty accounting team, developing and applying accounting policies and standards, ensuring effective internal controls, and conducting monthly financial analyses. The manager will collaborate with various departments within OSF HealthCare to maintain strong relationships and support the team's objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 7 years of accounting experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated knowledge of finance and accounting, including GAAP.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• High ethical standards and ability to build teams and relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Masters in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Public accounting experience.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).
• In-depth understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, and risks.

Responsibilities
